Introduction

AVX Sorter is a professional manager for your Microsoft Flight Simulator Community folder. Instead of dragging packages in and out by hand, you manage a clean staging library and let AVX link active add-ons into the sim.

AVX never deletes your files. Disabling an add-on simply removes its link from the Community folder — the package stays safe in your library.

Installation

Download the installer from the download page and run it. AVX Sorter installs per-user and auto-updates in the background.

Scanning your folder

On first launch the onboarding wizard walks you through three steps: Welcome, Set up your Community folder, and Choose scan mode. AVX auto-detects your Packages folder for Community and Community2024, or you can point it at a folder manually.

  • Quick scan — index names and categories only.
  • Deep scan — read manifests, thumbnails, ICAO codes and sizes.

Enable & disable

Every add-on appears as a card in the Hangar. Click the Enabled / Disabled badge to toggle it instantly. Use the category chips — All, Aircraft, Liveries, Airports, Utilities — to filter, and sort by Newest, Name, or Size.

Smart Profiles

Profiles are saved sets of enabled add-ons. Build one for short-haul tubeliners, another for bush flying in a region, and switch between them in a single click.

Pro tip: name profiles by route or event (e.g. EGLL-night-ops) so they're easy to find before a group flight.

Conflicts

AVX flags duplicate liveries, clashing scenery layers, and broken dependencies before they reach your sim. Open the Conflicts view to resolve each one with a recommended fix.

Airport Map

The Airports view plots every scenery add-on on a 3D globe. Search by ICAO, developer, or name to jump straight to an airport and toggle it without leaving the map.

AI Sort

AI Sort reads package manifests and contents to auto-categorize messy or mislabeled add-ons into Aircraft, Livery, Airport, Scenery and Utility — then suggests a tidy library structure you can apply in one click.

Health Monitor

The Health view continuously scans your Packages folder for issues — orphaned files, failed updates, oversized caches — and shows a clear status indicator: healthy, warning, or error.
